Featured Oral History of Judge Mary Murguia

Judge Mary Murguia is interviewed by her colleague and mentor, Judge Paul Rosenblatt.  She tells the moving story of having grown up as one of seven children of Mexican immigrants and traces her career trajectory from her childhood in Kansas; her time at the University of Kansas (where she earned two bachelor's degrees); through her career as an Assistant District Attorney,and Assistant United States Attorney; and to her time on the District Court and now on the Court of Appeals. Judge Murguia also speaks passionately about what it means to her to be a judge.
